I can’t help but notice the humorous irony of how recent events have effectively sunk every single liberal argument against private gun ownership in America. In the latest example of their usual hypocrisy, the “good peace and love liberals” have hung themselves in the gun control debate through their actions on the streets in the last week and half. I’m now going to take down a few of their biggest arguments using recent events and show why their stance against the right to keep and bear arms holds no water, not that they did to begin with anyways. Let’s take it from the top, shall we?
Liberal Gun Control Argument Number 1
“Assault weapons have no place in a civilized society.”
Pardon me while I have a good laugh: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA – “civilized society” you say? You mean to tell us that what happened in cities across America during the last week and half is the hallmark of a “civilized society”? You call burning down buildings, assaulting people, looting businesses, spray painting graffiti, setting cars on fire, blocking highways, breaking windows and murdering innocent people “civilized”? Sorry socialists, but you can no longer use that. The BS you pulled in the cities in your childish hissy fit rage just sunk your “civilized society” argument as well as your validity, so in turn we’re even more motivated to buy and keep even more “assault weapons” since you’ve shown us that the real depth of what lurks just beneath the surface of our society is quite the contrary. Moving on.
Liberal Gun Control Argument Number 2
“You don’t need 30 rounds to defend yourself.”
You’re actually right about that, recent events have shown us that we need four times that many. There’s hundreds of videos online of violent mobs ganging up and beating lone individuals to a pulp. There are endless possible examples of how a savvy individual with an AR-15 and a couple of extra mags could’ve easily evened the odds against a bunch of rioting punks. Heck, even the mere sight of semi-automatic rifles wielded by individuals would’ve saved a lot of businesses and sent the mobs herding the opposite direction. Some folks did just that and their businesses remained untouched. An AR-15 with 30 round mags is a great deterrent and will level the playing field if “justice” comes to your street.
Liberal Gun Control Argument Number 3
“Why do you need an AR-15 to defend yourself?”
See my rebuttal for Argument Number 2 above.
Liberal Gun Control Argument Number 4
“Fewer guns = fewer crimes.”
Hmm… Really? How many crimes were committed in Idaho when the BLM and Antifa tried their antics up there? Zero. You know why? Because armed citizens took to the streets en masse during the protests and made sure that it didn’t devolve into rioting. Everyone in those protests, and in other states and locales where armed citizens made a public show of force, behaved themselves. No riots, no looting, no assaults, no burned down buildings. Those gun toting citizens proved that an armed society is a polite society. Case closed.
Liberal Gun Control Argument Number 5
“Only the police and military should be armed.”
And this one takes the cake. Hey, how did you like the armed police and military shooting at you in the streets last week? Granted, it was mostly tear gas, rubber bullets and flash bangs, but what if they opened up on you with actual lead like they’ve done in the past (Kent State)? And what about your call for the abolition of police? What about unjustified police shootings, one of the very things that you are out in the streets protesting about? Again, liberals have been hung by their own stupidity and they can no longer use this argument let alone any of the others. For the record, I don’t support militarized police or troops on the streets at all. The real law in a constitutional republic should enforced by the militia – which is made up of the whole body of the people, not the National Guard. According to the U.S. Constitution, the duties of the militia are: to execute the laws of the Union, suppress insurrections, and repel invasions. The armed citizens in Idaho, Montana and elsewhere set a fine example.
The truth is, recent events have only strengthened our resolve to remain armed. Guns are flying off the shelves in record numbers like never before. I hope that these riots serve as a wake up call for the fence sitters of middle America – the police and military are not there to protect you, they are there to protect the state. Your protection is your responsibility and yours alone. If you haven’t already, buy a gun and then train with it.
Real gun control: Firm grip with both hands on the weapon, steady squeeze of the trigger, and eye on the front sight.
